Best Western Royal Hotel Caen

Great central location close to all amenities - walking distance to tourist sites, bars & restaurants. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Nice rooms. Common areas nicely furnished and welcoming. Breakfast optional, but a nice continental selection. The hotel has a small bar and prices reasonable. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was centrally located in Caen and was a short walk to the castle and to old town. We were 2 grandparents plus a family of 3 and we were able to get adjoining rooms, one with a balcony, at the front of the hotel. There was an elevator and the rooms were very quiet and came with air conditioning. We picked up our rental cars the morning we left so we didn’t need to worry about parking. However, I did notice there was an underground parkade across the street. The tram can be taken from near the train station and it will drop you a few blocks from the hotel. Or you could take a cab from the station for a reasonable rate as we did. The rooms were very modern and the beds were very comfortable. The gentleman on the front desk was both thoughtful and helpful. There were many places to eat and shop within walking distance of the hotel. Breakfast was available at the hotel but we didn’t partake as we wanted to hit the road early. There was however a plate of croissants placed in the lobby for guests to help themselves to when they left. I would definitely recommend the Best Western Royal Hotel Caen for a one or multi-night stay!

The hotel’s location was great. It was near many restaurants and stores incl Gallerie Lafayette. The staff was great too. . They were very helpful and always a smile on their faces. The breakfast could be better. Overall our stay in this hotel was enjoyable. Will recommend to friends.

This place is awesome! Great location, great room, parking lot across the street, great Royal restaurant next store to it. Breakfast is ok for 15€ the best part of the hotel is Daphne at the front reception. She is so wonderful. At night everyone is having drinks in the bar and lobby and it’s a great energy. Thank you Daphne!

The location of the hotel was fantastic and so central to the shopping precinct of Caen. We loved having the small balcony to look over the streets and district below. Both the bed and room was large and very comfortable, and the room was quiet from any noise from the restaurant below. We enjoyed all the facilities of the hotel - a good value breakfast and handy room service for dining in. The late check out was great too.
